Business Manager: Elsje Designs
Elsje Designs are looking for an vibrant and ambitious business manager for our bespoke graphic design studio, in Durbanville. Basic salary of approx R14 000 to R18 000 per month - to be reviewed with the possibility of profit share, based on performance of 6 months.
Job description:
• this position requires initiative and lots of energy in a fast paced business
• planning and coordinating of production schedule and deadlines
• financial management and bookkeeping (cost accounting)
a good understanding of budgets, targets and financial forecastings.
• experience in cost accounting and/or costing of products
• highly proficient in Word and Excel
• the ability to liaise with clients and suppliers
• a systematic and highly organised go-getter
• must be able to manage a small team well (3 designers, 3 production workers)
• ability to deal with demanding high season during the summer months
• performance and target driven
• planning of daily studio workflow and meeting of deadlines
• general admin of the studio
• experience of basic HR management
• full time position with overtime when needed
Minimum requirements:
• business degree or diploma
• minimum or 3 years management experience
• strong organisational, business and people skills
It will count in your favour, if:
• you are passionate about project management
• knowledge of printing and/or design processes
• you are a numeric whizz
• you have knowledge of the events and wedding industry
• you would enjoy a creative and trendsetting design studio
• basic marketing skills
• you are immediately available.
